"Rick of Wine Cellar Experts (WCE) built and co-designed a beautiful walk-in wine room for my client as part of a whole home design/build project of ours. Working with WCE was great every step of the way. My client had been working with a different prominent local wine cellar company, but found the process frustrating. I contracted with WCE shortly afterwards and showed Rick my design for the wine room. He made some wonderful design tweaks that not only made the room look even better, but also increased its wine storage capacity. Rick is a true craftsmen, and has great attention to detail from the many years experience of building complex wine cellars and spaces. "Rick Benson is an outstanding craftsman who is incredibly quality-minded with an unparalleled attention to detail and a distinct creative flair. My project was a 600+ bottle, climate-controlled, walk-in wine cellar with beautiful glass doors that is front and center in our family room. The cellar was 100% custom built by Mr. Benson out of beautiful unfinished African Supele hardwood, which is medium reddish-brown in color and is naturally moisture and mildew resistant. The cellar features unique concave, vertical individual-bottle racking; two large, curved display bottle shelves holding 20 bottles each; 6 bulk storage bins; 8 full-extension, 6-bottle, pull-out drawers; 2 storage drawers; hanging storage for 36 wine glasses; 3 shelves for additonal glass and decanter storage; crown molding; a decanting/tasting station; amazing LED lighting and more! It is a sight to behold and it makes my wife and I grin from ear-to-ear everytime we look at it! Rick and his team at Wine Cellar Experts collaborated on this design with Beautiful Remodel owner Steve Price, who can also be found on Houzz and is a hugely talented general contractor and designer in his own right. How could I go wrong with such an unbeatable team?! I highly recommend both Wine Cellar Experts and Beautiful Remodel and will use them again without hesitation."
"I met Richard, the owner and operator of Wine Cellar Experts in Pacific Palisades California. He was installing a wine cellar in a spec home on Amalfi Drive. Impressed with his work, I asked him to design a cellar for a home that my wife and I were remodeling a summer home on San Juan Island in Washington State.
The wine cellar that he created is spectacular. The design that he created in CAD was breathtaking and the actual work was not just a mirror image of his drawings, it is impeccable. We are so thrilled that I simply cannot say enough about Richard and the value that he added to our home.
